How It Works (K-8)
The Arizona Virtual Academy K–8 Program
Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) is a tuition-free online public school that uses the K12 curriculum, which is accessed via an online school as well as through more traditional methods. Materials are delivered right to the family's doorstep—including books, CDs, and even bags of rocks and soil.
We also partner parents and students with a state-certified, Highly Qualified teacher to guide and track their progress through the curriculum. There are monthly scheduled conferences that occur online or via phone as well.
Student-to-student interaction is emphasized, too, so AZVA students are always well educated and well socialized.
Who is this intended for?
The AZVA K–8 program serves Arizona-resident students in grades K–8 throughout the state.
What are the costs?
Because we are part of the public school system, Arizona Virtual Academy is tuition-free. All materials and access to the K12 curriculum is provided free of charge.
How do I get started?
See our How to Enroll in AZVA section for more information about how to get going.
