Arizona Virtual Academy (AZVA) by K12 is an online, tuition-free public school designed to help students in grades K–12 “learn how they learn” best. We believe this so strongly we made it our school motto! Explore the academic tracks we offer to fit our students’ diverse learning needs and academic goals.
A Student-Centered Approach to Academics
Every student comes to us with their unique learning needs, interests, and goals. Some students know exactly where they want to go, and some need help figuring it out. No matter their destination, we have four learning tracks to support their journey — Accelerate, Flex, Core, and Bridge.
Keep in mind that these tracks are a guide to discovering what’s possible — after enrollment, our staff can work with your student to personalize their individual journey to suit them best.
Who is eligible to enroll?
Arizona Virtual Academy is open to full-time Arizona state residents in grades K–12. Depending on your student’s age, goals, and academic standing, they may follow our Accelerate, Flex, Core, or Bridge tracks after enrollment.
- Accelerate: Students in grades 6–12 who want to fast-track their learning and get a jump-start on college and careers
- Flex: Students in grades K–12 who need a more flexible daily schedule of classes
- Core: Students in grades K–12 who want a quality education from their own space
- Bridge: Students in grades K–12 who need to regain confidence and academic standing

Accelerate Track
Fast-track their path to graduation and beyond!
Our Accelerate track is designed for students in grades 6–12 ready to lean into their academic strengths — and run with them! Your student can consult with their guidance counselor to create their own learning plan with opportunities to explore career fields, earn college credits early, and get a head start on what comes next.
Opportunities AZVA offers to help students jump-start their future:
- Career and College Prep – 6–12th graders can explore career fields in dedicated elective courses and start taking career pathways courses
- Dual Enrollment – 9–12th graders can earn college credits while they earn credits toward their high school diploma

Flex Track
A school day that fits their busy life
Our Flex track is designed for learners who need their education to fit around their lives. Whether they’re a competitive athlete, an artist, or simply a self-starter, Flex allows students to choose when and where they do their best work.

Core Track
Enjoy the structure of a traditional school day from the comfort of home
The AZVA Core track is perfect for students in grades K–12 who thrive on routine and social connection — while also enjoying the benefits of learning from home. Arizona Virtual Academy is a Cognia-accredited school staffed with Arizona-certified teachers who lead regularly scheduled live online class sessions. Your student can learn and interact with local classmates during class and extracurricular activities.

Bridge Track
Engaging instruction designed for academic gains
Parents, our Bridge track provides targeted instruction to students who need to catch up. By prioritizing regular attendance and active engagement, we help students regain confidence, recover course credits, and take steps toward lasting academic success.
