We’ve Got Roots in Arizona
This may sound obvious, but it bears repeating: Arizona Virtual Academy is in Arizona.
We’re an online, tuition-free public school that believes learning is more fun when you’re part of a vibrant community of local families and teachers. AZVA offers a variety of ways for students to connect, collaborate, and celebrate together:
- Virtual Clubs: From art and STEM, to gaming and leadership, there’s something for every interest.
- Student-Led Activities: Students take the lead in creating and running clubs and events.
- In-Person Events: Field trips, family fun park days, and regional meetups bring our community together face-to-face. We also have an in-person prom and graduation.
A Virtual Campus Built for Connection
The AZVA K12 Zone is a safe, moderated interactive space where students can meet, chat, and participate in live events. K12 helps make our online school feel like your neighborhood school—personal, connected, and familiar—all from the comfort of home.

One of our key focuses has been on how we can allow students to socialize in our environment but still maintain a spirit of safety about everything we do, whether that be in our live classes, or in the social time they have in the K12 Zone.
Support for the Whole Student, and the Whole Family
At AZVA, parents are encouraged to take a front-row seat in their child’s education as their Learning Coach (don’t worry, you don’t have to teach—that’s our Arizona-certified teachers’ job!).
As their student’s Learning Coach, a parent or legal guardian can:
- Stay connected with teachers and staff through email or phone calls
- Track progress and celebrate academic and personal milestones
- Participate in our Learning Coach community and get pro tips from other Learning Coaches in Arizona and across the USA
